My time as a technician in the physical therapy department at OrthoVirginia has been a rewarding experience filled with a variety of challenges. Dealing with different challenges every day created a very dynamic workplace, and I enjoyed supporting these individuals in their road to recovery. However, based on my experience, I’ve identified a preference for working with athletes or people who are dedicated and determined to improving their physical health. Their competitive drive and determination align with my own interests, making it more enjoyable and engaging. Furthermore, I’ve developed an attraction for the fast-paced atmosphere of urgent care facilities, particularly those that deal with walk-in patients. This realization has affected my future career goals, directing me toward options that are more closely aligned with urgent care facilities. My time at OrthoVirginia has not only strengthened my desire to help others, but it has also led me down a path where I can combine this desire with the daily problem-solving challenges of urgent care, particularly with an emphasis on working with athletes or those committed to physical improvement.
